Glyphosate: The Environmental Toxin that is harming human health
Glyphosate is a neurotoxin that enters our bodies, either through direct contact with grass ( think backyards, parks, golf courses), foods (conventional produce, GMO foods, animal feed etc.) and/or the water we drink. Glyphosate, also known as Round Up, is a commonly used herbicide that can kill certain weeds and grasses. It is used primarily in agriculture, lawn and garden care as it helps kill plants that compete with crops. Because of this, it is widely used in farming and has pervaded our soil in the United States as well as our water supply. PFAS and glyphosate are tolerated in the US yet 28 countries have them banned. The U.S. tolerates 7000x the amount of glyphosate in tap water than is safe for human consumption.
Can you control how you age?
Aging is not just something that happens. Factors such as diet, exercise, toxins, sleep, stress and more can affect how able our DNA are to make new, healthy cells which is what impacts how we age. If our DNA can't make new healthy cells, but instead make defective cells, then over time our body begins to slowly degrade and thus age. We see it in our strength, our energy levels, our skin and our overall health!
The Healthiest Granola (GF)
This granola is the healthiest granola you could possibly make! It has zero refined sugar, only slightly sweetened with 100% natural, raw maple syrup which has less of an effect on your blood glucose levels than table sugar or artificial sweeteners. Plus it’s full of heart healthy, glyphosate free oats, that are sprouted for easy digestion. The flax, chia and hemp seeds add Omega-3 Fatty Acids for an anti-inflammatory boost. And the Zen Basil Seeds pack in even more fiber and nutrients! The Ceylon Cinnamon helps balance blood sugar but always make sure to pair your granola with a protein rich meal like greek yogurt or milk! I love serving mine over a protein smoothie bowl full of frozen berries, kiwi, marine collagen and greens to pack in the nutrients.

What is MCT Oil?
MCTs are a type of saturated fat that is more easily digested and less likely to be stored as body fat. The highest amount of MCTs are found in coconut oil, which has been classified as a superfood! MCTs have been shown to help brain, gut and heart health while also reducing inflammation and improving insulin sensitivity which directly impacts weight loss. Ketones are direct fuel for the brain!

Chicken Meatball Recipe (Gluten-free)
Chicken Meatballs so good you can trick an Italian! Instead of using ground beef, veal and pork which have much more saturated fat, lean ground chicken is a healthier choice for making meatballs. You won’t sacrifice the taste! Instead of breadcrumbs, nut crumbs are used for extra protein and healthy fat, making these gluten free.
How can you eat healthy when dining out? Unfortunately it can be hard!
Eating out at restaurants is hard! Even if you order the healthiest sounding dish, like fish with veggies, most restaurants still use butter and cheap oils to make almost everything on the menu. Chefs don't usually cook with Olive Oil because it's expensive, whereas butter and Vegetable oils (Canola, Sunflower, Safflower, Soybean) are cheaper, but have saturated fat and cause inflammation in the body. Fried foods obviously require oil but when veggies are sautéed in canola oil, or a cheap oil is in the salad dressing, it takes a meal from healthy to unhealthy quickly. So what can you do?

My Favorite CBD
As with anything these days, you need to do your research before purchasing when it comes to ingesting something daily! When I was looking into CBD brands a few years ago, I was looking for a brand that had quality, organic ingredients, as well as transparency throughout their manufacturing process, including third party testing with a Certificate of Analysis. This is what a “clean” CBD should entail! Which is how I found Tonic.
